2/4 & 2/3
2/3
Sort-of rest day today. I wasn't planning to run, at least? 30 minutes yoga and 30 minutes Zumba (I'm in charge of planning biweekly activities for the 8-11-yr-old girls in our church congregation, so tonight we had a Zumba-and-make-green-smoothies activity. I guess the activities reflect the interests of the leaders). Zumba was really fun and hilarious to watch the girls, who were SUPER intent but not very coordinated, but it did leave my leg pretty achy from the impact on the hard floor. So not as restful as my SRD should have been.
2/4
6 miles in 63:13! Warmed up at 12/mile and ran the last mile at 9:40; felt much stronger than I did earlier this week. This will probably be my LR for the week, but hey, last week my longest was 4 miles, so I'm thrilled!! Yoga and arm weights to finish.

Groundhog Day!
5 miles in 53:46 (didn't start until about 9:30 and had been up since about 5, so pretty darn tired!), and then walked a mile to cool down. MRI came back clear!!!

5 today in 52:43. Slowed it down and added another mile--I think I need to build my distance base before working on speed again. Arm weights to finish.

1/30
Thursday: Mixed feelings about today's run. Pros: first legit back-to-back run (did one last week, but there were some walk breaks mixed in) and faster than yesterday. Cons: still pretty slow, felt like I was working harder than I actually was, and had some front shin pain. MRI tomorrow and results Tuesday! 4 miles in 41:18; ran a mile warm-up (11/mile) and then alternated between two-minute intervals of 10:42 and 9:48.
Friday: rest day. Up at 6:30 for MRI, home at 8 to get kids off to school, Isaac's classroom for the morning, pick up Luke, took a quick nap before getting older kids, then off to the temple and home at 10:30, then talked to my parents and then did grading until 1 am.
Saturday: 4 miles (same warmup and intervals) and 20 minutes yoga. MRI yesterday so looking forward to getting those results Tuesday! Pretty darn tired and dizzy today--been pretty sleep deprived this week so hoping to catch up tonight and tomorrow.

4 miles in 41:30. Felt pretty lousy when I started (first mile was about 11:30) and terrific when I finished (last mile was 9:30). Avg 10:22/mile.
20 minutes recovery yoga to cool down. This made a huge difference Monday in my leg not aching that night, so I'm hoping it does the trick again today!
